About the Designer
High Chroma Founder Emily Ibarra believes that good design is for everyone, and THAT THOUGHTFUL spaces are essential to what keep us whole as human beings.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, her environment offered boundless inspiration in music, visual arts, writing, and design from an early age. After a decade working in live music, event production, and artist management, she became increasingly aware of how design shapes our emotions, our interactions, and our ability to cultivate both individual identity and a sense of community.
This realization led to an immersive exploration of vintage furniture, design, and architecture, a return to school for interior architecture, and the founding of her residential design studio in 2024. Emily builds deeply collaborative relationships with her clients, seeking to understand and expand each individual’s sense of self. Her work reflects the same curiosity that drew her to design—embracing creative risk, exploring design’s psychological impact, and taking a playful approach to texture, color, and materiality.
High Chroma Design is her vessel for sharing a love of color and design ingenuity with clients who aren’t afraid to take risks and have fun with their spaces.
